Stacia Parks
Fifth Grade Teacher

Stacia Parks joins the faculty at St. Philip’s Academy as the Fifth Grade teacher with a rich
background in ministry, education, and project management. She earned her undergraduate degree from James Madison University and completed her graduate studies in education at Virginia Commonwealth University. Mrs. Parks brings to the classroom both a depth of professional experience and a sincere commitment to the formation of young minds and hearts.

Though new to classical Christian education, she has spent several years teaching in public school settings, where she cultivated strong instructional practices and a structured, nurturing classroom environment. In keeping with the principles of classical education, Mrs. Parks is devoted to fostering habits of attention, discipline, and wonder. She believes that each child is uniquely created and deserving of both intellectual challenge and genuine care. She seeks to establish a classroom culture in which students are known, loved, and inspired to delight in learning and in the created order around them.

She resides in Charleston with her husband, their son, and their family pets. They are active members of The Cathedral of St. Luke and St. Paul, where Mrs. Parks participates in a weekly women’s Bible study and enjoys the fellowship of a vibrant church community. In her leisure time, she delights in gardening, exploring the city with her young son, walking through historic downtown Charleston with family and friends, and spending restful moments by the ocean.
