Barbara Berry

Barbara Sutherland Berry grew up in Darien, CT, where her Christian walk began at St. Paul's Episcopal.  She was educated at Phillips Academy, Andover - in the first class of graduating women - and the University of Colorado, Boulder.

 

Mrs. Berry has a multi-faceted career experience, beginning in New York City as an event planner at Salomon Brothers and worshiping as a member of All Angels Church, under the leadership of Martyn Minns. From there she followed Martyn and his family to Truro Episcopal.  While working in Washington, D.C., she met her husband and moved to Great Falls, MT where her daughter was raised.  Mrs. Berry worked as an elementary school secretary and then for 14 years as the assistant to the publisher of the Great Falls Tribune. Her only child, Elizabeth, still lives in Bozeman, MT.

Before coming to Charleston, to be closer to her mother, Carol McLaren, Mrs. Berry had been living in Henderson, NV, working as a TSA officer.
