Ben Hagood
Board Chair

After retiring from a career in law and public service, Ben has devoted his time to serving his church and his diocese.  He is the Chancellor of St. Philip’s Church and the Anglican Diocese of South Carolina. He is also active in the music ministry of St. Philip’s.  Ben was Chairman of the Classical Christian School Planning Committee, appointed by the Vestry, which led to the formation of St Philip’s Academy. He and his wife, Penn, are blessed with two daughters, a son-in-law, and two grandsons. 

 

Ben is excited about the work of St. Philip’s Academy because it will offer children and future generations of our community the opportunity to learn the wisdom of the ages and the truth of Jesus Christ.
