Agnes Dixon
Lead Kindergarten Teacher
Agnes Dixon is honored to serve as the Kindergarten teacher at St. Philip’s Academy. She holds both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the College of Charleston and began her career in higher education admissions before following her calling into the classroom. With two decades of experience in Charleston-area schools, Mrs. Dixon has devoted her career to
nurturing young learners during their most formative years.
Deeply committed to the principles of classical Christian education, Mrs. Dixon delights in cultivating wonder, virtue, and a love of learning in her students. She believes that the kindergarten year lays a vital foundation, not only in literacy and numeracy, but in habits of attention, kindness, perseverance, and joy. Her classroom is marked by warmth, order, and a
reverence for truth and goodness. She considers it a privilege to partner with parents in the joyful work of guiding children toward wisdom and virtue.
Mrs. Dixon lives on Wadmalaw Island with her husband, Ben, and their two dogs, Magnolia and Jake. They are active members of St. John’s Parish Church, where she participates in weekly Bible study and serves through the Daughters of the Holy Cross. Mrs. Dixon enjoys baking, running, and spending time with family and friends.
